Sascha Delbrouck

Sascha Delbrouck (born June 12, 1969 in Cologne ) is a German bassist and composer who works in jazz as well as in blues and rock music .

Live and act

Delbrouck started playing double bass and electric bass when he was 15 . He first studied pop at the Hamburg University of Music , before studying with Michinori Bunya at the Folkwang School in Essen from 1990 and double bass at the Cologne University of Music with Wolfgang Güttler , John Goldsby and Dieter Manderscheid until 1996 . In 1992 he was a member of the Landesjugendbigband Rheinland-Pfalz under Georg Ruby ; until 1995 he belonged to BuJazzO , with whom he played concerts in Germany, the USA and the Baltic States.

From 1994 he headed the Delbroux Bass Society , which recorded three albums and performed at the 1998 Leverkusener Jazz Days . In addition, he was a member of the recorder player Nadja Schubert's quartet until 2001 , with whom he appeared in the Philharmonie (1999/2000), the Subway (Festival des WDR 2000) in Cologne and at the Bachfest Leipzig and recorded three albums. He also accompanied Amy Antin . In 2001 he appeared in the film Love Makes You Blind . He also founded the Flying Groove Cowboys . He played with Nadja Schubert in the duo recorder & bass . In 2004/2005 and 2007 he performed with Birth Control in Germany and Belgium. Since 2004 he has been part of Udo Schild's band . He also composed for Nadja Schubert's Electric Band . In the following years he worked with Richard Bargel , with whom two albums were created; since 2012 he has been in Major Heuser's band . He also played with Christopher Cross and Peter Herbolzheimer .
