Nadja Schubert

Nadja Schubert (* 1971 in Nuremberg ) is a German recorder player who is not only active in the classical field, but also in the jazz genre .

Live and act

Schubert studied recorder at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with Günther Höller up to his concert exam in 1997. Walter van Hauwe, Marion Verbruggen and Han Tol gave additional suggestions . In 1997 she completed her musical training with a private study (jazz improvisation on the recorder) with Michael Heupel .

Schubert began a lively concert activity while she was still a student. As a soloist she worked with the Philharmonia Hungarica , the Cologne Chamber Orchestra and the German Bach Soloists . With the Cologne Chamber Orchestra under Helmut Müller-Brühl she was involved in several recordings of works by Johann Sebastian Bach for the Naxos label.

From 1992 to 2001 her Nadja Schubert Quartet existed. a. appeared in the Cologne Philharmonic (1999/2000), the Subway (Festival des WDR 2000) in Cologne and at the Leipzig Bach Festival and recorded three albums. Since 1996 she has also been working in the duo recorder & bass with bassist Sascha Delbrouck, who also released albums. With her current Electric Band , she explores electronic sound worlds such as ambient and drum 'n' bass on the recorder .

Prizes and awards

In 1985, 1988 and 1989 Schubert won first prize at the national youth music competition . As a member of the Trio Intercontri musicali , she was awarded first prize at the international ERTA recorder ensemble competition in Karlsruhe in 1995.
