Udo Schild , (born February 27, 1963 in Cologne - Worringen ), is a German jazz and soul singer, guitarist and songwriter who also worked under the pseudonyms Leon Delray and Barry Tenderloin .

Schild, who learned to play the guitar by himself as a teenager and played in local bands, began singing in 1985. Under the pseudonym Leon Delray, he was active from 1989 as a singer and guitarist in the soul cover band Soul-Suckers and had a record deal with bewra ; It was not until 1992 that the debut album I'm Still Waitin was created (released in 1993). In the same year, a television production with him, the RIAS big band , Till Brönner and Barbara Dennerlein was made for ZDF . A second album (also under a pseudonym) was released in 1995. From 1997 he released albums under his own name. As a composer and lyricist he was on the first two albums ofMax Mutzke represented. On Max Mutzke's first album, he also played the guitar for the songs Catch Me If You Can and You (acoustic version). Under the pseudonym Barry Tenderloin sang shield Stefan Raab ballad Let's Make a Baby for the success of the film (T) Spaceship Surprise by Michael Herbig .
