Satisfactory is a simulation game for Windows by the Swedish developer Coffee Stain Studios . In the Open World - building game the player on a distant built planet most efficient factory in the first-person view . The aim of the game is to mine the planet's resources, to build a space elevator and to send ever more numerous and complex components from the planet. Gameplay

First of all the player has to mine resources like iron ore or copper ore by hand . From one base he can send the mined resources to the client into space. The ores have to be transported to smelting furnaces with conveyor belts and smelted ( metallurgy ) in order to be further processed into components such as wires or plates. In the course of the plot, the player slowly builds a huge factory in this way, which is composed of increasingly complex objects from increasingly numerous components.

The central game content is the constant improvement of your own factory, the optimization of work processes and logistics and the attempt to work as efficiently as possible. At the same time, the alien planet must be explored in order to gain access to new and more distant resources.

The game was developed by Coffee Stain Studios, which already developed the Goat Simulator . As a game engine is Unreal Engine used. The first trailer for the game was shown at E3 2018. Satisfactory was released almost a year later on March 19, 2019 as an early access version exclusively in the Epic Games Store . The game has also been available on Steam since the beginning of June 2020 . The developers continue to provide the game with regular updates.

Update # 1 Conveyor Lifts

A first major update was released on May 15, 2019. In addition to bug fixes, it added a conveyor belt lift, new building parts and a new vehicle as well as new research options to the game.

Update # 2 Trains & Nuclear

The second update was released on July 3, 2019. It added bug fixes, trains and nuclear energy as an energy source.

Update # 3 pipes

Satisfactory Update 3 was released on February 11th, 2020. The most important innovation was liquids and the possibility of laying pipes to transport the liquids. In addition, Coffee Stain announced that the previously Epic-exclusive game will also be released on Steam in the near future .
