Sattelberg is a village in the municipality of Gachenbach in the Upper Bavarian district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen . It was the same until 1971 parish seat community .

Sattelberg is located in the middle of the Hallertau in the Ingolstadt planning region .
history
The Hofmark Sattelberg was owned by the Freising Cathedral Chapter until the secularization of 1802/3. In 1804, Andreas Deindl from Moosburg acquired the entire Hofmark including the castle, chapel, farm buildings, all land and a flock of 400 to 500 sheep for 11,000 guilders and was the first to have the castle chapel demolished. The castle fell into disrepair and was demolished around 1870. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipality of Sattelberg was created with the municipal edict of 1818 . On January 1, 1971, the community of Sattelberg was incorporated into Weilach with the places Birglbach and Ried . This community was again incorporated into Gachenbach on May 1, 1978 .
