Weilach is a parish village in the community of Gachenbach in the Upper Bavarian district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen . It was the same until 1978 parish seat community .

location

Weilach is six kilometers south of Aresing and three kilometers east of Gachenbach on the river of the same name near state road 2084 in the middle of the Hallertau in the Ingolstadt planning region .

history

The parish was part of the Schrobenhausen Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . The seat of the nobles of Weilach, who were notarized in the village since 1100, adjoined the parish church of Our Lady to the south and remained dominant in the large Fürstenfeld Zehenthof "beim Schreier" (no. 25) until modern times. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the community of Weilach was created with the community edict of 1818 , which also included the town of Hardt. Remnants of the aristocratic rule existed until the revolution in 1848 . On January 1, 1971, the community of Sattelberg was incorporated into Weilach with the places Birglbach and Ried. On July 1, 1972, the community was Weilbach that counted at that time 327 inhabitants and a 847.16 ha covered a large area, with some of its sub-sites in the course of municipal reform in Bavaria after Aresing incorporated, it came Etzlberg, flames Bach, Laber village and hospital mill to the community of Weilach, which in turn was incorporated into Gachenbach on May 1, 1978 .
