The schematic war organization of the Wehrmacht on April 6, 1941 , shows the formation of the army and the air force of the Wehrmacht at the beginning of the attack on Yugoslavia and Greece .
The army was divided into two armies. The Luftwaffe provided an air fleet that was independent, but was supposed to work closely with the relevant army units. The divisions of the army belonged to different deployment waves , with the divisions of the 1st and 2nd deployment waves being the best equipped in terms of personnel and material.
