The Savuto (historically Sabatus or Sabutus ) is a river in southern Italy . It rises in the region of Calabria and runs continuously in this. The river is the namesake of the DOC Savuto wine .

The Savuto rises at an altitude of 1260 m at Torre del Spineto in the Sila , flows in a westerly direction and through the Lago di Savuto and reaches the Autostrada A3 at Marzi , which now runs in a southwesterly direction almost to the confluence with the Tyrrhenian Sea at Nocera Terinese , which is reached after a run of 48 km.

Its catchment area is 411 km².
