The Saxby River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Queensland . It does not have water all year round, but only during the rainy season .
geography
River course
The river has its source on the western slopes of the Gregory Range , which is part of the Great Dividing Range . It flows first to the southwest to Saxby Downs and then describes an arc to the northwest. In the grasslands, it flows largely parallel to the Flinders River and the Cloncurry River . At Warren Vale it finally flows into the Flinders River.
