List of organs in Braunschweig

The list of organs in Braunschweig shows the preserved historical organs and nationally significant new organs in the former principality of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel . The list is based on today's districts of Wolfenbüttel , Braunschweig and Helmstedt . All historical organs that were built before the First World War should be recorded .

The main builders are given in the fourth column; Cooperation between several organ builders is indicated by a slash, later modifications by commas. In the sixth column, the Roman number indicates the number of manuals , a capital "P" indicates an independent pedal and a lower-case "p" indicates an attached pedal, the Arabic number in the penultimate column indicates the number of sounding registers . Significant preserved historical cases (with modern organs) are indicated by italics.
