List of organs in the Aurich district

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of organs in the district of Aurich includes all pipe organs preserved in the district of Aurich ( East Frisia ). It is a supplement to the main article Organ Landscape Ostfriesland , in which further literature can be found.

There are 112 organs in the district, 42 of which were built before the First World War . The Rysum organ is not only the oldest in the district, but also one of the few remaining Gothic organ works in the world. In Osteel , Westerhusen and Uttum three instruments from the late Renaissance have been almost completely preserved. The Schnitger organ in the north with 46 registers is the second largest organ in East Friesland and the second largest preserved work by Arp Schnitger . After the Second World War , Alfred Führer shaped the organ region with 23 modern organs, some behind an old prospect .

List of organs

The table is sortable. The main builders are given in the fourth column; Cooperation between several organ builders is indicated by a slash, later modifications by commas. In the sixth column, the Roman number indicates the number of manuals , a capital "P" indicates an independent pedal , a lower-case "p" indicates an attached pedal, and the Arabic number indicates the number of sounding registers . The penultimate column lists the last comprehensive restoration, the last column special features and further web links.

Preserved historical cases (with modern organs) are indicated in italics; in the chronological order in the fifth column, the year of the new building is decisive.
