List of organs in Saxony

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of organs in Saxony gradually includes the preserved historical organs as well as nationally significant new organs in the Free State of Saxony . All historical instruments are recorded that were built before the First World War . The list supplements the main article Organ Landscape Saxony , where further literature can be found.

Organ list

The main builders are given in the fourth column; Cooperation between several organ builders is indicated by a slash, later modifications by commas. Italic letters indicate that only the historic case has been preserved. In the sixth column, the Roman number indicates the number of manuals , a capital "P" indicates an independent pedal , and a lower-case "p" indicates a pedal that is only attached. The Arabic number indicates the number of sounding registers in today's organs (as of February 2020). The last column provides information on the state of preservation and links with further information.
