List of organs in Upper Swabia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of organs in Upper Swabia contains the preserved historical church organs and nationally significant new organs in the Württemberg and Bavarian Upper Swabian region. This list is a supplement to the main article Organ Landscape Oberschwaben , where the underlying literature can also be found.

The main builders are listed in the third column; Cooperation between several organ builders is indicated by a slash, later modifications by commas. Italic letters indicate that only the case is preserved. In the fifth column, the Roman number indicates the number of manuals , a capital "P" indicates an independent pedal , a lower-case "p" indicates an attached pedal and the Arabic number indicates the number of sounding registers . The information on manuals and registers are information on organs that exist today (as of 2009). The seventh column contains information on the last conversion, new construction or restoration, as well as links to articles on individual instruments.
