List of organs in Hessen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of organs in Hessen includes the preserved historical organs as well as nationally significant new organs in Hessen . It complements the main article Organ Landscape Hessen , where further literature can be found. All historical instruments should be recorded that were built before the First World War .

The main builders are given in the fourth column; Cooperation between several organ builders is indicated by a slash, later modifications by commas. Italic letters indicate that only the historic case has been preserved. In the sixth column, the Roman number indicates the number of manuals , a capital "P" indicates an independent pedal , and a lower-case "p" indicates a pedal that is only attached. The Arabic number indicates the number of sounding registers in today's organs (as of 2012). The last column provides information on the state of preservation and links with further information.

For some districts there are complete lists: list of organs in the district of Gießen , list of organs in the Lahn-Dill district , list of organs in the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf and list of organs in the Wetterau district .
