Hans Peter Mebold

Hans Peter Mebold (born April 27, 1942 in Weidenau ; † July 21, 2001 ) was a German organ builder who had his company headquarters in Siegen . The company continues as Orgelbau Mebold .

Life

After training with Hans Dentler in Siegen and working as an organ builder with Emil Hammer Orgelbau , Richard Rensch , Günter Hardt, at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg and with Gerald Woehl , master organ builder Mebold founded the company Orgelbau Mebold in Frauenberg near Marburg in 1976 . In 1979 the workshop moved to Siegen in the Breitenbach district. After the death of Hans Peter Mebold, Johannes Tobias Späth, who has been responsible for the manual sector since 1982, took over the management. Together with the owner Marianne Mebold, he continued the work until 2018. The son Mathias Mebold has been the owner of the organ building workshop since 2018.
