Another story

The statistical-topographical-historical description of the Grand Duchy of Hesse reports on Bobenhausen II in 1830:

"Bobenhausen (L. Bez. Schotten) market town, lies in the Vogelsberg, 3 St. from Schotten in a valley, 1535 Hess. (1181 Par.) Feet above the sea, has 119 houses and 637 inhabitants, who are Protestant apart from 2 Cath. And 44 Jews. There is 1 church, 3 grinding and oil mills, 1 grinding, 1 oil and fulling mill, and among the professionals 12 tailors, 7 shoemakers, 5 carpenters and 3 glaziers. The inhabitants feed themselves partly on wool and cotton spiders and trade in linseed and oil. The place holds 2 cattle and grocer's markets annually. The Church, which is the holy Egenolf was consecrated. stood under the Archipresbyter at Lauterbach. - At the beginning of the 14th century, those of Cronberg and von Sassen carried out the church sentence. But since 1401 this right was held by the von Sassen alone, who carried it from Isenburg along with tithes and goods as fiefs. Breuberg's Reitze were also wealthy here. In the vicinity of Bobenhausen mining was done on silver. "

As part of the regional reform in Hesse , Ulrichstein was incorporated into the town of Ulrichstein on December 31, 1971.

Territorial history and administration

Courts since 1803

In the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt , the judicial system was reorganized in an executive order of December 9, 1803. The “Hofgericht Gießen” was set up as a court of second instance for the province of Upper Hesse . The jurisdiction of the first instance was carried out by the offices or landlords and thus the Ulrichstein office was responsible for Bobenhausen. The court court was the second instance court for normal civil disputes, and the first instance for civil family law cases and criminal cases. The second instance for the patrimonial courts were the civil law firms. The superior court of appeal in Darmstadt was superordinate .

With the founding of the Grand Duchy of Hesse in 1806, this function was retained, while the tasks of the first instance 1821–1822 were transferred to the newly created regional and city courts as part of the separation of jurisdiction and administration. Bobenhausen a lot in the judicial district of the " Landgericht Schotten ". By order of the Grand Ducal Hessian Ministry of the Interior and Justice, Bobenhausen was ceded to the district of the newly established Ulrichstein District Court on December 1, 1838 .

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act with effect from October 1, 1879, as a result of which the previous grand ducal Hessian regional courts were replaced by local courts in the same place, while the newly created regional courts now functioned as higher courts, the name was changed to "Ulrichstein Local Court" and allocation to the district of the regional court of Giessen .

In 1943 the Ulrichstein District Court lost its independence and became a branch of the Schotten District Court . With effect from July 1, 1968, the local court of Schotten was dissolved and Bobenhausen came to the judicial district of the local court of Alsfeld . The superordinate instances are now, the regional court Gießen , the higher regional court Frankfurt am Main and the federal court as last instance.
