Arnach is a district of Bad Wurzach in the Ravensburg district .
history
In the deed of gift of the knight Berngarius de Arnac to the blessed hermit Ratperonius , about land in the Rötsee district, Arnach is mentioned for the first time in 941. In 1043 another deed of donation noted an Arnach forest ( silva Arinac ).
The tithe was paid to the Collegiate Foundation Wolfegg until 1806, then to the princes of Waldburg-Wolfegg-Waldsee. Around 1818/1819, Xaver Hohenleiter's band of robbers, known as the Black Veri , is said to have unsettled the area around Arnach. Until 1938 the village belonged to the Oberamt Waldsee , then to the Oberamt Wangen .
On June 1, 1972, the independent community was incorporated into the city of Bad Wurzach.
