Seibranz is a district of Bad Wurzach in the Ravensburg district .

history

Records from the 14th century show that a parish in Seibranz was dissolved. Johann von Waldburg re- established the parish in 1483. In 1608 it was incorporated into the Zeil collegiate monastery . In 1806 Seibranz came under the rule of the Kingdom of Württemberg . The office that administered the subjects was called Oberschultheißerei Zeil-Zeil. A schoolhouse was built in 1837 and one in the small suburb of Starkenhofen in 1912.

The community has had Saint Ulrich in its coat of arms since 1954. According to legend, Bishop Ulrich von Augsburg and Bishop Konrad from Constance met in Seibranz. Ulrich's work with his bishop's staff, which he thrust into the dry earth, is said to have created a spring. A Ulrichsbrunnen was built around the spring , the water of which was considered medicinal .

On January 1, 1975 Seibranz was incorporated into Bad Wurzach.

South of Seibranz is the Wachbühl elevation ( 791  m above sea level ), a well-known vantage point.
