Gospoldshofen is a district of Bad Wurzach in the Ravensburg district .

history

Gospoldshofen is first mentioned in a document on April 20, 1128. In 1611 the place was parish to Reichenhofen .

When the county of Waldburg-Zeil -Trauchburg was divided into a Wurzach line Waldburg-Zeil-Wurzach, Gospoldshofen fell to the Waldburg-Zeil-Wurzach line in 1675 due to its proximity. In 1806, together with the city of Wurzach, the Kingdom of Württemberg came into being . This change of rule brought a certain amount of self-government for Gospoldshofen. In the records of the municipal archive, Unterschultheiße are mentioned for Gospoldshofen, Albers, Bauhofen, Truschwende and Wiesen , who represented the citizens at the magistrate.

On June 23, 1823 Gospoldshofen became an independent place in the Oberamt Leutkirch . However, the village did not have its own town hall. It was not until 1909 that the Gospoldshofener built a town hall for the place in the town of Bad Wurzach, at the Rößle inn. In 1938 Gospoldshofen came to the Oberamt Wangen .

On December 1, 1972, Gospoldshofen was incorporated into the city of Bad Wurzach.

The parts of Albers, Bauhofen, Truschwende, Wiesen and Witzmanns belong to Gospoldshofen.

Buildings and businesses

Village Chapel Gospoldshofen (2009)

The only sacred building in Gospoldshofen is the St. Agathe chapel in the middle of the village. The place is characterized by agriculture, especially the dairy industry. One of the few processing companies is the Vogler cheese dairy, which processes milk from local farms into cheese and other dairy products and sells it regionally. The Ravensburg district would like to preserve this nature-friendly agriculture and supported the Gospoldshofen project in 2011 with the Plenum program .
