Klinga with Staudtnitz

The first documented mention of Klinga dates from 1251 as Clinga , Staudtnitz is mentioned as Studiniz as early as 1186 .

church

The year of construction of the Klinga church has not yet been clarified due to a lack of written evidence; it is assumed to be the 12th century. The interior design from the years 1728–64 has been preserved from the renovations that have taken place since then. At that time, the originally very small windows were enlarged, today's west portal was broken into the tower (the south and north doors were immediately walled up), a baptismal font that is still available today was purchased, galleries were installed and the organ was installed in 1744.

In 1817 August Schumann mentions Klinga in the State, Post and Newspaper Lexicon of Saxony concerning a. a .:

“It belongs in writing. zum Rittergute Pombsen , has a branch church of Nauenhof, in which the village of Staudtnitz is parish; 30 houses, 140 inhabitants, with 10  hoofs , [...], 85 cows and 700 sheep. "

Concerning Staudtnitz, Schumann cites in 1824 in the state, post and newspaper lexicon:

“[…], Belongs to the Seelingstädt manor with higher and inheritance courts , […] has around 24 houses around 120 residents […] around 80 cows and 3 ½ hooves, and is parish in Klinga. [...] The place has the beer compulsion to Grimma from the birth of Mary to Johannis , but in the rest of the year the freedom to get beer everywhere. "

In 1936 Staudtnitz was incorporated into Klinga. In 1924 and again in 1961 the baroque painting of the church was renewed, and in 1958/59 a community room was set up in the church tower.

On January 1, 1994, the municipality of Parthenstein was rebuilt from the previously independent municipalities of Grethen, Großsteinberg, Klinga and Pomßen.
