Martin ter Haseborg
Martin ter Haseborg (born November 26, 1965 in Leer ) is a master organ builder based in Uplengen ( East Friesland ) and manager of Orgelbau in Ostfriesland GmbH & Co KG .
Life
Ter Haseborg apprenticed at the organ builder Alfred Führer ( Wilhelmshaven ) from 1981 to 1983 , where he was voicer . After completing his master craftsman training (1991–1992), he became the deputy managing director of the Führer company (until 1994). Ter Haseborg went into business for himself in 1995 and set up an organ building workshop based in Uplengen. Since 2003 he has been employed by Orgelbau Ostfriesland as a GmbH & Co. KG , which he heads as operations manager and Kristin Karm as managing director. Kristin Karm is also busy building metal pipes and bellows. The artistic direction is assumed by both of them together.

Initially, the organ building workshop mainly carried out restorations of historic organs in East Friesland and built new buildings in the historicizing style, in recent years the restoration of romantic organs in Tallinn has become a new focus. Various new organs have been built since 2004, including some for Northern Europe ( Norway and Estonia ). In addition to the new construction, maintenance, relocation and restoration of church organs, Orgelbau Ostfriesland has also built cabinet organs and larger concert organs . The new organs are conservatively oriented using traditional craft techniques and materials and reflect the working principle of the north German organ building tradition using mechanical grinding chests.
List of works (selection)
The size of the instruments is indicated in the fifth column by the number of manuals and the number of sounding registers in the sixth column. A capital P stands for an independent pedal, a lowercase p for an attached pedal. Italics indicate that the organ in question is no longer available or that only the prospectus has been preserved.
