Teaching2.jpg

The coat of arms of the municipality shows in the blue coat of arms a golden ash branch with eight leaves, placed at an angle to the right, in the base of the shield covered with a silver wave bar. The eight leaves of the ash branch represent the eight formerly independent communities, the silver wavy band stands for the Schunter . Blue and gold (yellow) as the basic colors of the coat of arms are intended to express the affiliation to the Braunschweiger Land , and at the same time they refer to the former administrative district of Braunschweig , to which seven of the eight villages belonged until its dissolution. The unified municipality has had the coat of arms since 1980. The flag of the municipality contains the municipal coat of arms in its colors blue / yellow (gold) on a yellow (golden) background and a longitudinal stripe in blue to the left and right of the coat of arms.

In addition to the coat of arms of the municipality ofehre with its eight villages, the village of school also has its own coat of arms. In a divided shield, it shows a green acorn with two leaves on a golden background, and a golden carp in blue below. The carp stands for fish farming, which has long been an important industry. The leafed acorn refers to the tree population of the teacher Wohld. The basic colors gold and blue are intended to express the affiliation to the Braunschweig region. The village got this coat of arms as early as 1962, before the municipal merger.
