Königslutter (municipality-free area)
The community-free area of Königslutter is one of five community-free areas in the Helmstedt district , Lower Saxony . The name of the area is derived from the neighboring town of Königslutter am Elm .
It has an area of 8.90 km² and borders clockwise to the north and east on the city of Königslutter am Elm in the same district. In the south and west there is a border with the town of Schöppenstedt , the community-free area Am Großen Rhode , and the community of Kneitlingen in the Wolfenbüttel district . In addition to a larger part, the area also includes an exclave, which is completely enclosed by the city of Königslutter am Elm.
The community-free area is uninhabited. For statistical reasons, however, it has the official municipality key 03 1 54 503.
