Sayaka Shibusawa ( Japanese 渋 沢 小 哉 芳 , Shibusawa Sayaka ; born April 5, 1984 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese diver . She starts in artificial jumping from the 1-m and 3-m board and in 3-m synchronized jumping.

Shibusawa played her first international competitions in 2007. At the Universiade in Bangkok she reached fourth and sixth place from the 3-meter board in the individual and synchronous competition. Two years later she took part in the World Cup in Rome for the first time . In the individual competitions from the 1-m and 3-m board she was eliminated in the preliminary fight, but reached the final with Mai Nakagawa in the 3-m synchronized jumping, where she finished eighth. Shibusawa achieved her greatest sporting success to date at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou . From the 1-meter and 3-meter board she reached the finals, where she took sixth and seventh place, in the 3-meter synchronized jumping she won her first international medal with Nakagawa with bronze. The 2011 World Championships in Shanghai were less successful , where they were eliminated from the 1-meter board and with Nakagawa in the 3-meter synchronized jumping in the preliminaries and from the 3-meter board in the semifinals. At the 2012 World Cup in London , Shibusawa was able to reach the 3-meter synchronized final with Nakagawa, where the duo was tenth.

Shibusawa studied at the University of Tokyo .
