Beauty mark
A real birthmark is called a beauty mark and is intended to give a mostly female person a characteristic and attractive appearance. A beauty mark can also be artificially painted or glued ( mouche ).
Placement on the body
A beauty mark can be found in a particularly exposed part of the body, usually on the face , here ideally on the cheek , but also on the chin . It can also be found on the cleavage , the shoulder , next to the navel or on the arms.
Famous women with beauty mark
The birthmarks of some actresses and models are considered beauty marks . Examples include the Americans Marilyn Monroe , Cindy Crawford , Madonna , Dita von Teese , Janet Jackson , Jessica Alba , Alyson Michalka and Jeri Ryan , the French Brigitte Bardot and the German presenter Andrea Kaiser .

A modern form of the (artificial) beauty mark is the Madonna piercing . The beauty mark must not be confused with a tilaka , a painted Hindu sign of blessing.
