Race course

The race led over a total of 70 kilometers of dirt roads and cobblestone passages. Shortly after the start, a group led by Justin Jules (France / WB Veranclassic) pulled away. However, this was discontinued shortly afterwards. It was only after 80 kilometers that a group of twelve 12 men formed with Twan Castelijns (Netherlands / LottoNL), Bert van Lerberghe (Belgium / Sport Vlaanderen) and Tom Devriendt (Belgium / Wanty). The group was put back 70 kilometers from the finish.

Then Justin Jules attacked again. This time he got up to 40 seconds ahead. 50 kilometers from the finish, Wout Van Aert (Belgium / Verandas), Stijn Devolder (Belgium / Verandas), Taco van der Hoorn (Netherlands / Roompot), Olivier Pardini (Belgium / WB Veranclassic), Ludwig De Winter (Belgium / WB Veranclassic). Van der Hoorn and Devolder, however, fell behind due to defects. 25 kilometers from the finish, van der Hoorn was able to close the gap to the leading group. Afterwards Jules could no longer follow the pace of the leading group. His team mate Lukas Spengler (Switzerland) was able to move up to the top group. De Winter fell back from the leading group due to a defect.

A few kilometers from the finish, Van Aert attacked. With a lead of six seconds over his former escape companions, he started the final kilometer. Van der Hoorn caught up with him 300 meters from the finish and won the two-man sprint between the two.
