Schaumburger Land

The Schaumburger Land is the stretch of land in Lower Saxony between the Steinhuder Meer , Schaumburger Wald , Mindener Land , Weser Mountains and Deister . Historically, it includes the former state of Schaumburg-Lippe in the area of Bückeburg and Stadthagen and the county of Schaumburg in the area of Rinteln , Obernkirchen , Bad Nenndorf and Hessisch Oldendorf . Although the area is rural, it is comparatively densely populated. Diverse independent traditions and customs can be found here. The Schaumburg costume has also become known nationwide. Today the Schaumburger Land is largely congruent with the Schaumburg district .
