Archery

Archers use straw target holders with a diameter of 130 cm for competitions. Special forms are possible. These are set up at an incline of approx. 10–15 degrees. The actual discs are fastened to the holder. The rings on the disc are highlighted in color. The center of the target has a gold (actually yellow) background, which is why the archers' motto is: "Everyone into gold".

Air rifle, air pistol, crossbow (10 m)

Target air rifle

These types of weapons use cardboard targets which, when shooting with an air rifle and crossbow, have a black and white ring surface of 45.5 mm. The size of the center of the disc, the "ten", has been reduced in size over time. Ten is now 0.5 mm tall, with a tolerance of +/- 0.1 mm. In the case of the air pistol target, the ten has a diameter of 11.5 mm.

Targets for air rifle shooting are available as single targets, combined with 5 mirrors on a cardboard strip and as strips of 10. The latter are predominantly used today and the shots are evaluated with electronic evaluation machines. Targets for air pistol shooting are only available as individual targets.

Rifle (50 m)

When targeting with rifles at a distance of 50 m, the ring mirror has a diameter of 15.44 cm and the ten is 10.4 mm tall.

Rifle (100 m) and pistol (precision 25–50 m)

With rifle 100 m, muzzle loader, pistol 25 m (precision), standard pistol and pistol 50 m , the ring mirror has a diameter of 50 cm and the 10 is 5 cm. The ten is divided into two inner and outer ten. The inner ten is only 2.5 cm in diameter. The point value is the same in both fields, but the number of inner ten hits (called "mouches" in jargon) is often used as a decision criterion in the event of other points being equal.

Clay targets

When trap shooting is not static shot at shooting targets, but on flying targets, which are called because of their flat shape "slices". It is carried out with shotguns that fire shotgun ammunition and is now a competitive discipline based on the hunting sector. The clay targets have a diameter of 95 to 98 mm and should be color-coded against the sky. They are also filled with a colored powder, which clearly shows the bursting when hit.
