The Shilik ( Kazakh Шілік ); Russian Чили́к (Tschilik) is a right tributary of the Ili in southeast Kazakhstan .

The Schilik rises on the southern flank of the Transili-Alatau . It flows in an easterly direction along the north edge of the Küngöy Ala-Too Range , turns in the middle reaches of the north, flows through the Bartogay reservoir and reaches the lower reaches the broad valley of the Ili, passes through the village of the same Schilik and finally flows above the kapchagay Reservoir in the Ili flowing to the west. The Schilik has a length of 245 km. It drains an area of ​​4980 km². The Schilik is mainly fed by meltwater from the glaciers and snowmelt . 63 km above the mouth, the mean discharge (MQ) is 32.2 m³ / s.
