The Schleifbach rises from the Deubitzbach in Kossa ( Saxony ) and is a right tributary into the Mulde . It flows through the districts of Kossa, Durchwehna and Bad Düben , where it flows into the hollow . It is partly the border between the federal states of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt . The Schleifbach and Deubitzbach together have a length of 18 km and drain about 37 km². In Bad Düben the Hammerbach still flows into the Schleifbach, before it flows into the Mulde about 1.6 km further shortly before the Red Bank .
