action

Since the death of their parents, Natalie and her younger brother Richard have only had each other to tell each other the things that are really close to their hearts due to the lack of other relatives or friends. While Richard doesn't take life so seriously, has a turbulent love life and is also professionally successful, Natalie is looking for “Mr. Right “, which should make you happy. She fails because of this as well as because of her professional fulfillment. The relationship between the siblings is followed over many years.

At the time when Richard is calming down a bit professionally and privately, Natalie finally seems to find what she has been looking for for so long. The eccentric, incessantly talking, commenting on everything, extremely inquisitive, constantly eating and filthy rich Sinclair seems to be the fulfillment of all her wishes. He offers her a nice home, financial freedom and love. Richard is absent from the wedding, but appears very late on Natalie's birthday - and what should not happen happens: Natalie and Richard start an affair, although Natalie actually loves her husband.

In the course of time she even got used to his way of speaking, which her brother notices immediately. When he speaks to her, she says with a smile whether she has not always spoken like that. Natalie tries to defend herself against the sexual attraction. Each kiss is referred to as "the last", each touch as "just this once more". When the two finally end up in bed with each other, they agree that "it will never happen again". But they seem powerless against their sexual desire. When they are careless and Natalie Sinclair fakes a business trip, but she cannot be reached at the specified hotel, he becomes suspicious. He searches her things, but then pauses and withdraws. When she returns from her alleged business trip, he just asks cautiously without really digging. He wants to close his eyes to the obvious.

When Richard surprisingly wants to visit Natalie at home, he only meets Sinclair, who invites him to a picnic. Richard is very reluctant to accept, knowing from Natalie that Sinclair must have become suspicious. He can't enjoy the boat ride and picnic. When Sinclair asks him to give him the name of his wife's lover, Richard claims he doesn't know anything and asserts that Natalie certainly has no lover. Sinclair doesn't believe him.

The situation escalates when Sinclair decides to move to the States with his wife for some time. He notices Richard that she would be distracted by all the new impressions. Richard, however, demands that she leave Sinclair and move away with him. At the big farewell party that Sinclair and Natalie give, Richard pulls his sister away in an unobserved moment. It looks like he's trying to murder her. He thinks that all along she was just using and manipulating him to find herself. Sinclair, who noticed the absence of the two, grows restless. When the two return, slightly damaged and distraught, he declares the party over.

Richard expresses astonishment to the two that Sinclair remains so calm despite everything. In the end it becomes clear that Sinclair simply did not want to and does not want to admit what actually happened.
