The Schlossbrauerei Reuth is a small traditional brewery in Reuth near Erbendorf in the Upper Palatinate . The castle brewery was founded as early as 1742. The Reuth castle brewery is one of the few breweries that produce Zoigl .
history
The Reuth Castle Brewery was founded in the middle of the 15th century and initially only produced beer for Reuth Castle . It was not until the 18th century that beer was also produced for other customers. In 1742 three inns in the area were supplied for the first time. Originally, the castle brewery only produced the Reuther warehouse.
Today the brewery's range includes beers, lemonades, juices and spritzers. The water used for production comes from the 60 meter deep Artesia spring in the Reuther Castle Park. Reuther beer has been a protected geographical indication of the EU since 1998 . The Schlossbrauerei Reuth is the only brewery that is allowed to brew beer under this name.
