Eichbichl Castle
The Eichbichl Castle is located east of the Bavarian capital Munich in Frauenneuharting in the district of Ebersberg. It is a former moated castle . The current main building dates from the 17th century. The castle is listed as an architectural monument.
history
The history of Hofmark Eichbichl can be traced back to the 14th century. In 1605 the Jesuit College bought it. In 1777 the moated castle was handed over to the Order of Malta by Elector Karl Theodor . The Maltese cross is still on the stucco ceiling of the salon on the first floor. After secularization in 1808, it had different owners. It has been owned by Rea and Ulrich von Raben since 1995 .
