Hirschbichl Castle
Hirschbichl Castle is a castle in Hirschbichl in the municipality of Emmering (Ebersberg district) . It is a listed building (number D-1-75-136-12)
history
The castle was first mentioned in 1417 with the name Hirschbichl. In 1726 the last owner of the Hirschauer family died. In the meantime, the Hofmark was owned by Johann Caspar Aloys Reichsgraf Basselet von La Rosée . The last noble owner of the castle was the State Councilor Joseph Freiherr von Hazzi in 1845. This is followed by uses as a restaurant or youth home. In 1944, the district of Ebersberg took over the castle itself and expanded it after the end of the war as accommodation for refugees and displaced persons . In 1981 the castle was renovated and used by the Ebersberg Art Association. In 1999 the district sold the castle to a private person.
description
The castle is a three-storey plastered building built around 1500 with a steep gable roof and four corner cores. A partial reconstruction took place after 1648 on an artificially raised hill.
