history

The castle was built for André, Marquis de Guiry, according to the plans of the architect François Mansart . It was built on the foundations of a previous building from the 16th century that was destroyed by fire. Since the architect died in 1666, the building was completed by his nephew Jules Hardouin-Mansart . The castle has been owned by the same family without interruption ever since.

The two-storey castle in the style of French classicism has seven axes . The windows of the mansard roof are crowned with stone gables, the middle three facing the main courtyard are surrounded by a semicircular fronton with reliefs from the 19th century. In the middle is the coat of arms of the Rosset de Létourville family. The two statues on the center post symbolize justice and bravery . The portal is framed by two pilasters . A flight of stairs leads into the park. The high basement has oculi on all sides .
