history

Allegedly, Duke Bolko II of Schweidnitz had a small hunting lodge built in Ober Bögendorf in 1337, which was later expanded by his wife Princess Agnes von Habsburg . In a document from 1440, Kaspar von Schindel is mentioned as the owner of the Obervorwerk , who still managed it in 1473. In 1550 it was Balzer von Schindler and in 1568 Samuel von Schindel.

In 1595 it came to Leonhard von Gellhorn, who built a new castle, which was sometimes also called the Geller Schlössel . He had gradually the two remaining knights seats and outworks bought separately, so in 1609 by the heirs of the knight Friedrich Kuhl the middle Vorwerk and in 1626 by Joachim von Tschirsky the low Vorwerk . After him the owner was Ernst Friedrich von Seidlitz and his son of the same name, who bought the brewery bar on it in 1694. In 1724 it was given to his son Valentin Dietrich von Seidlitz who passed it to Christina Dorothea Countess of Hochberg auf Fürstenstein, born in 1745 . Countess Reuss von Plauen resigned. In 1783 the owner was Christian Gottlieb von Dobschütz and Plauen. He died unmarried in 1786.

In 1826, the Prussian major Friedrich Wilhelm Weger from Pomerania and his wife Wilhelmina rebuilt the castle and gave it a completely new look. It was rebuilt again at the beginning of the 20th century. Owners were the princes of Pless . In 1929 the leaseholder of the palace was the Prussian ambassador Karl Georg von Treutler, who also died there in 1933. A country year home was set up there during the Nazi era. In 1968 it was repaired and in 2005 it was extensively renovated by a private investor.
