The high-speed line Madrid – Toledo (Spanish Línea de Alta Velocidad Madrid – Toledo, short LAV Madrid – Toledo) is a high-speed railway line in Spain . It connects Toledo , the capital of the autonomous province of Castile-La Mancha , to the Spanish high-speed network.

The 20.5 km long route branches off from the high-speed line Madrid – Seville at La Sagra ( route km 53) .

The 8.8 km long, Y-shaped level-free junction system can be driven at 220 km / h. The top speed on the 21-kilometer route is 270 km / h. The route ends at Toledo train station .

The route opened on November 15, 2005. It replaces a broad-gauge line from the Castillejo-Añover station on the old Madrid – Seville main line, which was served by regional trains and closed at the start of construction. The most striking structure is the 1602 meter long viaduct over the Tagus . Continuous trains take 35 minutes to travel. RENFE's repair shop for high-speed trains is located on the route northeast of Villaseca de la Sagra .
