SchulzeMeierLehmann was a rock / pop band from Freiburg im Breisgau and Mannheim founded in 2005 , which disbanded in 2008.
history
David Lemaitre , Frank Schulze-Brüggemann and Robert Wittmaier went together in a rehearsal room in Freiburg in spring 2005. The first demo CD followed shortly afterwards.
In 2006 SchulzeMeierLehmann played in various clubs in Freiburg, Emmendingen and Tuttlingen . They gained a certain reputation with around 40 concerts in 2006, mainly in the Baden-Württemberg area . In February 2006 SchulzeMeierLehmann were chosen to tour band of the Zelt-Musik-Festival in the Jazzhaus Freiburg and won the Rampe-06 band competition there. They won the Play Live Baden-Württemberg and were allowed to take part in the German final of PlayLive in Magdeburg .
Also in 2006 they released their first album Beauty is Cruel. The CD release party took place on September 16, 2006 in the Jazzhaus Freiburg.
From April 2007 Phillip Mader sat for Robert Wittmaier on SchulzeMeierLehmann's drums. Phillip Mader met SchulzeMeierLehmann at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg , where they study together. SchulzeMeierLehmann played the first gig with Phillip Mader on drums on June 6, 2007 in Weitenau at Rock am Bruch. On August 1, 2007 the single "Da bist du Jetzt" was released. Mader was heard there for the first time in a studio recording.
On June 22, 2007, SchulzeMeierLehmann opened the Southside Festival with their performance , and in 2007 a summer tour with ten stops took place in Spain .
On their official MySpace page, SchulzeMeierLehmann announced their dissolution on June 26, 2008. An excerpt from the declaration: “Visions that were too different had recently endangered the common denominator of our trio. SchulzeMeierlehmann is too beautiful a picture for us that we would rather leave it standing than accidentally crumple it. ”The farewell concert took place on July 6, 2008 in Freiburg at the tent festival.
