Schwabstadl is a part of the municipality of Obermeitingen in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech . The village is at an altitude of 557 m above sea level. NN .
Schwabstadl is the Bundeswehr location in connection with the Lechfeld air base . The Schwabstadl barracks was the accommodation for the fighter bomber squadron 32 with two squadrons and a total of 45 tornadoes . The resolution was decided in 2009. In the meantime, the barracks buildings have been completely demolished and the area has been converted into a solar park.
Military cemetery
The remains of General Feldmarschall der Luftwaffe Hugo Sperrle, 756 Soviet soldiers, 59 Yugoslavs, 6 Poles, 5 Romanians and 1 Greek from the prisoner-of-war team camp VII A (short: Stalag VII A in Moosburg on the Isar ) in 1958 have been found in the military cemetery found their final resting place.
