Schwartzkoppen is the name of an aristocratic family from Lower Saxony , whose lineage begins with Hans Swartekop († 1511), citizens of Braunschweig .

Nobility uprisings

Knightly imperial nobility and hereditary-Austrian nobility as "von Schwarzkoppen" with improved coat of arms on February 22, 1688 in Vienna for the brothers Conrad Schwarzkopf , ducal Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel Chamber and District Councilor , and Johann Georg Schwarzkopf , ducal Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel Privy Chamber Councilor , his descendants carried the name "von Schwarzkoppen".

Nassau baron status in 1812 for Friedrich von Schwarzkoppen , ducal Nassau lieutenant with the mounted hunters.
