The Schwarzbach is a right tributary of the Sebnitz in Saxon Switzerland .

The 10.2 km long brook has its origin on the southern slope of the Ungerberg , after which it flows in a southerly direction past Krumhermsdorf and Lohsdorf . At the former buttermilk mill near Altendorf , the water flows orographically to the right into the Sebnitz. On the right side of the mouth of the Schwarzbach is the castle Schwarzberg , which is popularly known as Goßdorfer robbery castle.

The upper course of the stream is initially only slightly sunk into the ground. The flat valley slopes are mostly used as grassland. Below Lohsdorf, the brook has formed a deep notch valley in the Lusatian granite. The wooded and partly rocky slopes of the valley reach heights of more than 100 meters.

From 1897 to 1951 the narrow-gauge railway Goßdorf-Kohlmühle-Hohnstein ran in the Schwarzbachtal .
