Krumhermsdorf is a district of Neustadt in Saxony in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .

geography

Krumhermsdorf is located east of the Saxon state capital Dresden in the transition area between the Lausitzer Bergland and Saxon Switzerland . It is located in the south of the city of Neustadt in Saxony and thus in the northeast of the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains. The Waldhufendorf is located in a flat valley on the upper reaches of the Schwarzbach , which rises on the Ungerberg ( 537.2  m above sea  level ) east of Krumhermsdorf and drains into the Sebnitz . The village center of Krumhermsdorf is in the center of the 503 hectare large corridor; on its western edge lies the scattered settlement Neuhäuser along the street of the same name. Parts of the Krumhermsdorf district, especially in the north and east, are forested; the corridors immediately around the village are mostly used for agriculture.

The district of Krumhermsdorf is bordered by the Neustadt districts of Polenz in the north-west, Neustadt in the north, Langburkersdorf in the north-east and Rugiswalde in the far east. The Sebnitz district of Schönbach is adjacent to the southeast . In addition, the Hohnsteiner districts border Ulbersdorf in the south and Ehrenberg in the west.

The most important street on Krumhermsdorfer Flur is Hohnsteiner Straße, which runs as state road 156 from Neustadt in Saxony to Hohnstein and bypasses the place to the north. The location itself is mainly accessed through the main road, which runs as district road 8725 or 8727 from Ehrenberg via Krumhermsdorf to Neustadt. Another important road branches off from here in Krumhermsdorf, Schönbacher Strasse, which leads to Schönbach. Krumhermsdorf is connected to the regional bus network of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) . Immediately northeast of the village is the highest stop on the Bautzen – Bad Schandau railway line .
