Niederottendorf is a district of Neustadt in Saxony in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .
geography
Niederottendorf is located east of the Saxon state capital Dresden in the transition area between the Lausitzer Bergland and Saxon Switzerland . It is located in the north of the city of Neustadt in Saxony and thus in the northeast of the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains. The Waldhufendorf , whose appearance is determined by numerous three-sided farms , is located in the valley of the Ottendorfer Dorfbach, which drains over the Lohbach into the Polenz .
The Hohwald begins in the far east of the 494 hectare corridor . In this direction the terrain rises towards Valtenberg . The corridors around Niederottendorf are mostly used for agriculture. Oberottendorf is directly connected to the northwest, and Berthelsdorf to the south . In the west, the Niederottendorf district borders with Rückersdorf on a third district of Neustadt. To the east are the Oberputzkauer corridors of the Schmölln- Putzkau district of Putzkau , which belong to the Bautzen district .
The most important street on Niederottendorfer Flur is the state road 156 from Bischofswerda to Neustadt in Saxony, which bypasses the place to the west. Niederottendorf itself is mainly developed through the Bischofswerdaer Straße, which largely follows the Ottendorfer Dorfbach and connects Oberottendorf with Berthelsdorf. Niederottendorf is connected to the regional bus network of Saxon Switzerland and Eastern Ore Mountains (RVSOE) . In neighboring Oberottendorf there is a stop on the Bautzen – Bad Schandau railway line .
