The Schwarze Bach , also known as the Weißwasser , on the upper reaches also Leerensackbach ( Larensackbach ), is a small right tributary of the Reichramingbach (Großer Bach) in the Reichraminger Hintergebirge in Upper Austria .

Run and landscape

The stream is formed in the municipality of Weyer from two mountain streams in the eastern Hintergebirge, on the Dürrensteig ridge . The names of the two streams can also be found for the entire run.

The left spring stream is usually called Weißwasser . It rises east of the Mooshöhe  ( 846  m ) near Unterlaussa , on Bodenwies  ( 1540  m above sea level ), at approx.  1300  m above sea level. A.  ( ). It flows for about 2½ km first westwards downhill, then in a northerly direction past the Mooshöhe through a valley widening.

The right source stream is empty Sackenbach (Laren Sackenbach) he comes directly from the empty bag Riedel  ( 1216  m above sea level. A.   ) north of the Bodenwies. This brook is about 3½ km long, and joins the other brook ( ) in the area of the dilapidated settlement of Weißwasser .

From here on, the stream is usually still run as white water . It takes up the Sonnbergbach , which comes from the north from the Hirschkogelsattel  ( 882  m ), and turns west again. In the following, increasingly canyon-like narrow valley, the Saigerinbach comes from the south , and the course goes back to the northwest. Here the stream is also called the Black Stream , and it briefly forms the municipal boundary to Reichraming. The Lahngraben and the Hochschlachtbach in the Schleierfall flow from the right . Shortly afterwards the brook flows into the Great Gorge at 526  m above sea level. A. in the Reichramingbach.

history

The water of the brook was previously used for the wood drift , Klausen were on the middle course (Weißwasserklause) and on the upper Leerensackbach. For the empty bag Bach found in the early 19th century, the name Ladensaagbach , there was a small saw. The Reichraming forest railway to Weißwasser , which was closed in 1971, ran along the stream , today the Hintergebirgsradweg runs along the old route . The old mining settlement of Weißwasser, with a few homesteads, disappeared after the bauxite mining industry closed in 1964.

The lower course, from the Saigerinbach estuary, has been part of the National Park, European Protected Area and Ramsar Area Upper Austrian Limestone Alps since 1997 , the left-hand ravine forests there are already part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Beech Forests and Old Beech Forests of Europe ( Hintergebirge sub-area ).

Individual evidence

  1. a b c d e f The Austrian map (ÖK50) gives Schwarzer Bach am Unterlauf, Leerensackbach as Quellbach (status 2018);
    the area directory (FVZ, catchment areas) gives Schwarzer Bach - from the Lahngraben to the union with the Sitzenbach 2-134-280-001 (sub-areas -009 and -011), Weißwasser (upper reaches of the Black Bach) right source stream of the Reichraming (sub-areas -001 to -007, in the sense of a water course) from Bodenwies via Mooshöhe, Leerensackbach - right feeder to (m) Weißwasser (Schwarzenbach) (2-134-280-001-002, tributary; Schwarzenbach here as an individual entry ) (FVZ version 2011);
    the Oö. Wasserbuch (DORIS Gewässerpfade) gives, in deviation, Larensackbach, Weißwasser for the main course to Leerensackriedel (ID 1096, stationing 8.818 km), Weißwasser from Bodenwies over Mooshöhe (ID 430777, 2.7271 km), but all unnamed channels analogous to FVZ to Lahngraben Schwarzer Bach Feeder , to the middle course and to the Bodenwies Weißwasser feeder , to the Leerensackriedel Leerensackbach feeder ;
    the map basemap gives white water for both the lower and middle reaches, and Larensackbach (brooks from Bodenwies unnamed; status 2018);
    the 3rd land survey (around 1870) only mentions white water on the lower reaches; Souvant 1857 only Weisswasserbach on Unter- / Mittelllauf ; the 2nd state record (
    original map , around 1830) gives, depending on the sheet, Weißwasser , Weißwasserbach or Weißwasser Bach from the mouth to the Mooshöhe ( Moossbauer , Bodenwies brooks not mapped), and Ladensaagbach (there also saw, Alm and Klause of this name) ;
    (all figures DORIS, theme waters , Layer little water and detail basins , as well as theme first country record , respectively. Urmappe with jew background maps;. called on Oct. 5, 2018; detailed source HDG see following);
    The diversity and inconsistency of names can be found more often in the Hintergebirge area.
