The Reichramingbach , also [the] Reichraming (old only Raming ), in the middle course of the Großer Bach , as the upper course Sitzenbach ( Zizelsbach ), alternatively Haselbach , is a tributary of the Enns in the southeastern Traunviertel near Reichraming in Upper Austria . It is the main body of water in the Reichraminger Hintergebirge and flows through the Kalkalpen National Park .

Run and water management

The Reichramingbach is formed from two mountain streams in the southern central area of the Hintergebirge. The names of the two streams are also interchanged, with various assignments as to which is the respective upper course.

The left source stream is usually called Sitzenbach (Zizelsbach) (and more often as the main stream upper course). It is located in the municipality of Rosenau am Hengstpass . It rises northeast of Rosenau and a little east of Haselsgatter , at the northern foot of the Langfirst  ( 1469  m above sea level ), at about  1220  m above sea level. A.  ( ). It flows first in an easterly, then northeast direction. After a few kilometers, the one to the east of the Großtenberg breaks through the main ridge of the Upper Austrian Prealps in a deeply cut canyon called the Hetzgraben . The stream is about 10 km long. Its tributaries include the Deckleiterbach near the Klause, and the Jörglgraben in the Hetzgraben from the northeast.

The right source stream is usually called Haselbach (also Ameisbach on the upper course ). It forms the municipal boundary between Rosenau and Weyer . He comes from the water Klotz  ( 1505  m above sea level. A. , where the origin at about  1,330  m above sea level. A. listed  ) and maple saddle (between Long First and water block), just north of Hengstpass . This stream runs north for 7 km. It takes up several left side trenches that drain the area towards the Sitzenbach.

In the municipality border point Rosenau-Weyer-Großraming, at the foot of the Hetzmäuer, at  556  m above sea level. A. the two brooks unite ( ). The canyon then begins to meander and is then called the Great Gorge , the stream also called the Great Stream . There is the Schleierfall on the Black Brook (Weißwasser, Larensackbach) , which comes from the southeast . From here to the mouth, the stream belongs mainly to the municipality of Reichraming , on a short section it forms the municipality boundary to Großraming .

The Ramingbach runs northwards, between the Schreindlmauer – Schneeberg – Hohe Dirn train on the left and the Hochkogel and Fahrenberg on the other. The valley is expanding increasingly. The lower, populated valley is the Dirnbach area . In Reichraming it flows at  351  m above sea level. A. in the Enns.

Its length including the Sitzenbach is 29 km, from the mouth of the Schwarzer Bach a good 19 km, its entire catchment area about 170.7 km².

The water of the stream was previously used for the wood drift . The Klause am Quellauf, the Triftsteig in the Große Schlucht, and the Große Klause , 10 kilometers into the valley from Reichraming, bear witness to this . The Reichraming forest railway to Weißwasser , which was closed in 1971, ran along the stream , today the Hintergebirgsradweg runs along the old route .

Individual evidence

  1. a b c d e f The Austrian map (ÖK50) labeled on the lower reaches Reichramingbach , on the middle course Großer Bach , the source brooks Sitzenbach (left, through the Hetzgraben) and Haselbach - Ameisbach (right, on the Haselmäuern) (as of 2018);
    according to the area directory (FVZ, catchment areas) Reichraming (2-134-280), whereby the section of the Great Gorge, below the confluence of the Black Bach, is listed as Reichraming [ab] of the union of the source
    brooks (section 2-134-280-003 ), Sitzenbach (left source stream of the Reichraming) to the confluence of the Schwarzen Bach, but the HZB code designates the upper reaches (2-134-280-001 and 002), and Haselbach (right, 2-134-280-002- 008) as its feeder, with Ameisbach - right source stream of the Haselbach (2-134-280-002-008-001) (FVZ version 2011);
    the Oö. However, the water book (DORIS water path) leads differently Haselbach (KURZRID: 1095) along its entire length including the left source stream (through the Hetzgraben, corresponds to the name of the Haselsgatter in the source area) to the confluence with the Enns, the right source stream here the other way round Sitzenbach (ID: 1100 ) from the origin at Wasserkotz - but all unnamed feeders of both streams vice versa like ÖK / FVZ;
    The map basemap gives Reichramingbach for the run up to the Great Gorge, but above the confluence of the Black Bach Haselbach , and this further like ÖK / FVZ, including its source stream Ameisbach der ÖK, as well as the name Zizelsbach for the left source stream (Hetzgraben) ;
    the 3rd regional survey (around 1870) names Keixen Graben in the area of the Great Gorge (name of the hunting lodge there, ÖK a small side ditch), Hetzgraben and Zizels Bach on the left, Hauselgraben on the right; Souvant 1857 mentions Raming , Haselbach only directly above the Schwarzer Bach, and the source brooks
    Gierlbach left and Ameisbach right; the 2nd state record ( original map , around 1830) is provided by Raming Bach (in between Großbach at the reservoir of the Great Klause, which is still recorded here), Cizerlbach - Klausenbach for the left, Haselbach - Ameißenbach for the right stream ( Klausenbach today the feeder of the Haselbach in the sense of ÖK / FVZ when changing name to Ameisbach, in the ÖK Zorngraben );
    (all figures DORIS, theme waters , Layer little water and detail basins , as well as theme first country record , respectively. Urmappe with jew background maps;. accessed January 2, 2019; detailed source HDG see following);
    The diversity and inconsistency of names can be found more often in the Hintergebirge area.
