Culture and sights
The townscape of Schweinberg is largely determined by the Schweinberg Castle and the parish church of St. Andreas. This picture can also be seen when you drive on federal road 27 from Hardheim.
Schweinberg Castle
The castle ruins of Schweinberg are located on a hill. From the curtain wall you can see almost the entire village and take a look at the Erftal.
Parish Church of St. Andrew
In church terms, Schweinberg was still a branch of Königheim in the 15th century and was mentioned for the first time at this time. The Counts of Wertheim introduced the Reformation around 1530. From then on, at the latest, a separate parish was established. From 1613, finally during the Thirty Years' War , the Counter Reformation came about through Würzburg . The Church of St. Andrew was built in 1729 and has a hall without a tower. The furnishings are partly from the 15th century. In front of the church is the church square with a historical fountain. It was paved centristically to the fountain.
Freilandkreuzweg
A 14-station Schweinberger Kreuzweg leads to the Sacred Heart Chapel outside the village.
