Swiss Association of Notaries

The Swiss Association of Notaries (SNV) is an umbrella organization for freelance notaries in Switzerland . It is constituted as an association within the meaning of Art. 60 ff. ZGB . Collective members are the notarial associations of the cantons of Aargau , Basel-Stadt , Basel-Land , Bern , Friborg , Geneva , Graubünden , Jura , Neuchâtel , Ticino , Uri , Vaud and Valais .

The association is mainly financed by the contributions of the individual members and the Central Register of Wills .

The purpose of the association is to safeguard the interests of the freelance notary's office, to represent and to comment on federal drafts related to the practice of the notary's office.

The organs of the association are: the General Assembly, the Board of Directors, the Presidents' Conference and the Auditors.

The seat is in Muri near Bern .
