The heavy-spiked loosestrife ( Lysimachia barystachys ) is a plant from the genus Gilbweiderich ( Lysimachia ).

features

The hard-eared Felberich is a perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 60 to 100 cm. The lively or alternate leaves are linear-lanceolate, 5 to 8 centimeters long and less than 1.5 centimeters wide. Their underside is not dotted with glands. The inflorescence is a curved, terminal raceme. The inflorescence axis and the pedicel are hairy more or less densely. The flowers are five-fold. The crown is white.

The flowering period extends from July to September.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.

Occurrence

The poor-aged loosestrife occurs in Japan, Korea and North China in damp locations at altitudes of up to 1000 meters.

The hard-eared loosestrife is rarely used as an ornamental plant for perennial beds, groups of trees and borders.
