Schyliwzi ( Ukrainian Шилівці ; Russian Шиловцы Schilowzy , Romanian Șilăuți ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernivtsi with about 3000 inhabitants (2004).
The Bessarabian village was first mentioned in writing in 1652 and is the only village in the district council of the same name in the Chotyn district . Sarozhany is east of the village of Klischkivzi on the banks of the Rynhatsch ( RINGACH ), a 42 km long left tributary of the Prut . The territorial road T-26-03 runs through the village in an east-west direction and the T-26-21 runs in the north of the village .
The district center of Chotyn is located 28 km northeast and the oblast capital Chernivtsi about 30 km southwest of Schyliwzi.
