"Scuola Romana"

The forerunners of the “Roman School” include painters such as El Greco or Marc Chagall and other artists such as German and French Expressionists. The artists of the “Roman School” use surrealist and expressionist forms of expression.

The Scuola Romana opposes the conservative movement of the Novecento . They accuse this of conservatism , fascist tendencies and a tendency towards neo-romanticism .
